Properties of Vata

Prakriti made with equal quantity of Vata, Pitta and Kapha is superior in nature.
Prakriti made with combination of any two Dosha like Vata-Pitta, Vata-Kapha and Pitta-Kapha is inferior in nature.
Poisonous worms are born from poison only. Similarly at the time of conception, Dosha present in semen and ovum give rise to three types of Prakriti.

There are three types of digestive tracts (Koshta):
1. Kroora Koshta– In this bowel evacuation is difficult with hard stool. Also the person will have irregular digestion. It is influenced by Vata Dosha.
2. Mrudu Koshta– In this bowel evacuation is very quick with very soft or loose stools. Even administration of milk will cause bowel evacuation. It is influenced by Pitta Dosha.
3. Madhya Koshta– In this bowel evacuation is normal, at appropriate times with soft & normal stool. It is influenced by Kapha Dosha & Tridosha balance.
